RENT STABILIZATION ORDINANCE WORKSHOP & 2020 UPDATES VII (IN SPANISH)
February 27 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pmFree
This month’s Landlord-Tenant workshops will focus on the basics of the Rent Stabilization Ordinance (RSO). The RSO regulates rents for about 600,000 rental units in the City of Los Angeles, and has been in effect since 1979, covering 75% of the Los Angeles rental housing market. The workshops will cover landlord and tenant legal responsibilities under the RSO, including allowable rent increases, legal reasons for evictions, payment of relocation assistance, the RSO complaint process, and other issues. They will also provide an update of recent important changes in the law.
These workshops are for landlords, property managers, and renters in Los Angeles who want to know their rights and responsibilities. They are also recommended for landlords and their family members who assist or will assist them in managing their properties, banks, lenders, trustees, servicing companies, listing agents and anyone contemplating buying or selling rental property in the City of Los Angeles.
These workshops will be presented by HCIDLA’s Rent Stabilization Division Staff.
