Host Homes Informational Session

Jovenes is a non-profit organization working with youth experiencing homelessness between the ages of 18-24 in East and Southeast Los Angeles. Jovenes goes deep with their youth, not only focusing on a housing options, but also on academics, employment, trauma recovery, and more. Our mission is to help homeless youth become active and integrated members of our community.
Jovenes will be holding informational sessions for their Host Homes Program to teach individuals more about the program and how they can get involved. Host Homes are when individuals or families volunteer to open their home for up to 6 months to college students (ages 18-24) experiencing housing insecurities. The goal of this program is for youth to achieve academic success, employment stability, and find permanent housing solutions. Host(s) must have a spare bedroom, be 25+ years old, and have lived in LA County for a year. Parking in the parking garage is limited, accessible street parking (no meters). If you live in LA and have a spare bedroom, you can open your home for up to 6 months to college students experiencing housing insecurities. By being a host, you will give students the foundation they need to focus on academics and employment, as well as to find permanent housing solutions.
